Art From Anxiety was created in 2019 by Megan Mitts, a Registered Art Therapist turned Creative Coach who focuses on therapeutic art as a means for accessible, alternative coping. Megan uses her education, experience, and insight to develop adaptable creative solutions in specific to the artist(s) self-growth needs and available materials.

Art From Anxiety, LLC offers customizable creative coping for individuals and small groups online, as well as alternative supports to help yourself with digital coloring pages, worksheets or by becoming a Patron.

How is Art Therapy different from Therapeutic Art?

Art therapy is offered by graduate level Counselor with a specialized education to practice as an Art Therapist. Art Therapy processes and applications are presented in clinical settings so as to support the individual in ways traditional talk therapy may not.

Therapeutic Art, or art-as-therapy, are safe and accessible creative processes that offer relief, validation and awareness through reminders of values necessary for coping, outside of a clinical setting. Therapeutic art can be useful for supporting one’s self-growth / self-healing journey, reparenting oneself, emotional awareness, anxiety relief, increasing mindfulness and maintaining through daily stressors and setbacks.
