Megan Mitts
about
Megan grew up in Cincinnati, OH before getting her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University (OH) and Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (IN). Megan struggled with anxiety and depression since a young age and could oftentimes be found making art as a way to express herself and feel better about the world around her. With this innate love of art and experiencing its potential in supporting her mental health needs, Megan pursued a career as an art therapist to better understand the potential of creative expression to support a variety of functions and needs.
With over 10 years of professional experience specializing in emotional expression, shifting from problem to solution focused, and therapeutic art practices to promote regulation with the individuals success in mind. Megan is now available to offer creative supports to individuals who want to create self-care, maintenance and self-growth outside of treatment facilities.
